Required Qualifications:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator assists the QA manager to develop, implement and maintain the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Policies. The QA Coordinator will also be asked to assist other managers to perform other tasks when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Tasks:
• Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
• Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company’s Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements.
• Assist QA manager to organize and manage quality assurance function in close co-operation with the customers and with the Company’s Management team.
• Effectively interact with QA, Operations and Engineering Managers and their teams
• Work with staff that purchases materials and equipment to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
• Maintain Unified Engineering’s approved supplier list.
• Work with management to ensure environmental and health and safety standards are complied with.
• Assist QA manager in defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating and engineering staff.
• Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
• Liaising with customers’ auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
• Assist the QA Manager to maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
• Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
• Assist technical staff in carrying out tests and checks.
• Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing reports.
• Persuading reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods.
• Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QA/QC.
Accountable for:
• Assist QA manager ensuring the Company’s Quality program is developed, maintained and implemented.
• Ensure the company has in processes and procedures in place to meet the Company’s Quality programs.
• Ensure products purchased by staff meet specifications and requirements.
• Ensure the shipping and receiving function of the company is compliant.
• Oversee the metrology function (testing and measurement)
• Ensure the company’s quality program is kept up to date.
• Ensure the company complies with all procedures and processes defined in the Quality manuals and alerts management when issues arise.
• Maintaining own job description including accountabilities, responsibilities, and tasks.
