About Our Company:
The Women’s Centre Of Halton is dedicated to assisting women through time of crisis, distress, or transition by providing support services and programs to effect positive change.
The Women’s Centre was established in 1989 by a group of women who identified the need for a safe place within the community where women who had experienced abuse could receive after-care, support, and ongoing support services. In 1991, The Women’s Centre became recognized and registered as a Charitable Organization.
The Centre now offers an array of services to meet the needs of all women regardless of age, race, religion, economic level, or sexual orientation.
We believe that each woman who comes through our door is important and unique. The Women’s Centre is a safe, compassionate place to explore life and relationships. At The Women’s Centre, we provide an opportunity for women to learn, grow, and recognize their own strengths and abilities. Through individual coaching, supportive counselling, support groups, and workshops we educate women to find solutions to their own life situations.
Our ‘women supporting women’ model provides support, guidance, encouragement and the opportunity for women to express their emotions and explore options. We provide assistance when facing a wide range of issues including stress, loneliness, isolation, low self-esteem, or emotional difficulties.
