Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of high school graduate or equivalent training
• Working knowledge of computer usage – (Working knowledge of QuickBooks is an added advantage)
• Experience in purchasing, receiving, inventory and/or materials control
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Familiarity with bathroom/kitchen fixtures and accessories as well as renovations materials is an added advantage
• Standing and/or sitting for long periods
• Position occasionally requires stooping, stretching, crouching and lifting of up to 150kg
• Valid class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare Purchase orders (PO), order materials and ensure materials for jobs arrive on time to avoid delays.
2. Ensure inventories are maintained to prevent stock-out delays.
3. Ensure all shipments are made in schedule and that incoming shipments are processed in a timely manner consistent with the company quality requirements and policies
4. Match packing slips and PO with materials received. Review documents for accuracy and resolve any possible discrepancies
5. Prepare materials for jobs and ensure that required quality and quantities of materials are moved to the staging area
6. Oversee the issue of parts, materials and tools for the job. Responsible for issuing materials to trades. Ensure all inventory, materials and supplies paperwork is properly recorded by preparing inventory and job cards
7. Ensure that all out-bound shipments are properly prepared for carrier and ensure that the most cost-effective carrier is selected for each shipment
8. Notify retail customers for orders that are ready for pick up
9. Responsible for ordering warranty parts and/or scheduling repair
10. Ensure that warehouse is properly clean and organized at all times
11. Perform any other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to time
12. Assist customer in the showroom and trades as required.
13. Driving company van from time to time.
