QUALIFICATIONS AND OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
. Formal Human Resources education at the post-secondary level is required
. HR experience is considered an asset
. CHRP designation is considered an asset
. Strong experience working with MS Office

Key Responsibilities:
. Assist in full-cycle recruitment (on-boarding and off-boarding), including creating, posting, and
managing job advertisements, screening and arranging interviews with candidates, and preparation of
letters of offer
. Coordinate Oakridge’s recruiting efforts and look for new methods to attract candidates
. Assist in the provision of coaching, guidance, and administration support to managers and employees
related to HR programs and processes, training, employee relations management, absence/disability
management, benefits, and performance management
. Development and maintenance of corporate policies
. Ensuring the issuance of the employee handbook and applicable policies, maintaining up-to-date . .
employee profiles (including training/ disciplinary records)
. Experience in HR program delivery and facilitation of HR programs
. Creation and presentation of training programs
. Assist in updating and completing job descriptions
. Management of employee attendance and vacation
. Sound knowledge of the Employment Standards Act and other government requirements to support
compliant employee relations
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
. Assist HRSM in coordinating and initiating the safety orientation for all new employees
. Assist HRSM in issuing weekly Tailgate Safety topics to the field crews that will be conducted and
returned
. Assist in developing and implementing safety procedures for all staff and divisions
. Keep all safety boards updated regularly
. Ensure that the orientation training for all drivers, operators, and lawn maintenance staff has been
undertaken
. Management of training recall database
. Assist in the implementation of our COVID-19 safety protocols
WSIB:
Assist with filing and managing WSIB claims and return-to-work
Insurance Claims:
Assist HR and Safety Manager in the information gathering for insurance claims
