Required Qualifications:

Job Requirements:
• PCP certificate or 3+ years of working experience is required.
• Degree in business administration, finance, or accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; with strong Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of relevant government websites.
• Previous use of ExakTime and or Jonas an asset.
• Strong ability to always maintain confidentiality in the course of work as well as exercise discretion.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Duties:
• Manage all aspects of utilized time and attendance system.
• Maintain employee records within our internal program.
• Review payable hours, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions.
• Prepare and issue earnings statements.
• Process all government remittance; Receiver General, WSIB, EHT, etc.
• Provide accurate information and answering employee questions about their payroll-related matters.
• Review, adjust and issue year end T4’s; including all required government remittances.
• Coordinate with the HR department to ensure correct employee data.
• Provide administrative assistance to the accounting department.
• GL reconciliations for all payroll accounts.
• Ensure payroll practices meet legislative requirements.
• Other duties as per requirement

Full Job Description
We are looking for an efficient Payroll Administrator to join our team who will be responsible for all aspects of managing employee data, ensuring timesheet accuracy and payments on a weekly basis.
The qualified candidate will have experience processing payroll for both union and non-union personnel, full year-end processing knowledge, managing weekly and monthly remittances and maintaining a high level of customer service with employees and management.
The successful administrator must have strong communication skills, solid numerical aptitude and attention to detail, excellent organization skills and be the ability to multitask effectively.
