Required Qualifications:

This position is full-time, on rotating shifts. Overtime is available as required.We are looking for a self-motivated individual with previous experience within a manufacturing environment.

Must haves:

– Certified Journeyman with a valid 442A License
– 10+ years of electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
– Excellent Working knowledge of the Ontario and Canadian Electrical Code
– Experience with PLC/ladder logic/VFD and troubleshooting
– Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
– Physically able to lift heavy objects as necessary
– Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams

Key Responsibilities:

– Proficiently and safely troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect, and adjust all types of electrical and control equipment in the manufacturing plant
– Perform preventative maintenance as per schedule
– To immediately notify management if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding safety procedures.
– Work with users, other facility staff and vendors to provide electrical expertise and to evaluate the effectiveness of systems to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable operation of facilities and for continuous improvements
– Ensure safe work practices are adhered to and appropriate PPE is always worn
– Stay organized and identify problems and recommend solutions
