Required Qualifications:
Education – Completed Personal Support Worker program certificate that meets the requirements set out in the LTC Act/Regulation. Restorative Care Certificate would be an asset
Knowledge – Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple tasks, become familiar with in home policies and procedures. Long Term Care experience and Knowledge with respect to the needs of geriatric residents will be an asset.
Attributes – Must be mature and possess good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families and visitors. Must be in good mental and physical health. Must be sensitive and empathetic to the needs of the residents.

Key Responsibilities:
Duties may vary as assigned and from day to day depending on the needs of the home. Will be responsible to report to the Director of Nursing and or Clinical Lead to determine tasks for the day. Assisting and providing 1:1 support to all new admissions, maintaining supplies on resident lanes, assisting residents in the dining room during meals, completing nursing department audits and perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional Details:
Constant standing and walking. Turning, stooping, bending and lifting. Finger and hand dexterity to handle delicate instruments and other equipment. Visual and hearing acuity to detect changes in residents’ condition.
Work indoors in well-lighted ventilated rooms.
Frequent and constant standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying is involved in the position.

About Our Company:
